<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain transmission movable lever having a backstop mechanism for silently restraining a retreat of the lever, while realizing the backstop mechanism for restraining the retreat of the lever by a lever single body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This chain transmission movable lever includes a lever body 120 forming a shoe surface slidingly contacting with a chain in the longitudinal direction and rotatably supporting a base end part by an installation surface, and a torsion coil spring 130 interposed between the lever body side and the installation surface side and pressing the shoe surface to the chain by energizing force. The lever body 120 includes a shaft hole 140 for storing a winding part 136 of the torsion coil spring 130, and the torsion coil spring 130 is wound in the direction for increasing an outer diameter ϕd of the winding part 136 when the lever body 120 retreats, and the outer diameter ϕd of the winding part 136 when the lever body 120 maximally retreats, is set equal to an inner diameter ϕD of the shaft hole 140, to thereby solve the problem.
