<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) tag system allowing execution of a notification in a notification means such as an LED, a buzzer or the like while suppressing power of an electric wave irradiated on an antenna so as to drive the notification means of an RFID tag. <P>SOLUTION: A reader/writer 21 includes a handy reader/writer 51 and an installed reader/writer 52. The installed reader/writer 52 is disposed near the RFID tag 1 stuck on a spine cover of a book displayed in a bookshelf. When a user searches for a desired book, a peculiar ID designation signal wherein a peculiar ID of the RFID tag 1 to be searched for is designated is transmitted from the handy reader/writer 51, next, an identification ID designation signal is transmitted from the installed reader/writer 52, and the LED 17 of the RFID tag 1 to be searched for is made to be turned on.
