<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer user with all files in the same layer in different folders as file storage information in a computer along with elements of grouping for lower layers in addition to grouping for higher layers without designating each folder. <P>SOLUTION: The three-dimensional display file management system assigns, for all holders in (n-3)-th layer of n layers, a Y axis 31a to (n-1)-th layer, an X-axis 31b to (n-1)-th layer, and a Z axis 31c to n-th layer, sorts the files by file name and list-displays the result so that display positions are not overlapped for each axis.
