<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal printer driver for controlling two or more types of image forming apparatuses having different functions without trouble. <P>SOLUTION: The printer driver makes a computer function as a printer selection part 301 for receiving designation of an image forming apparatus to be used; a print condition setting part 302 for receiving print conditions of print data; a preprocessing part 306 for processing the print data in accordance with a print condition for data processing using a function not supported by the apparatus to be used, prior to the request; a PJL generation part 308 for generating a PJL command with a condition using a function in the received print condition supported by the apparatus to be used; and a PDL generation part 307 for generating PDL data based on the processed print data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
