<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly organize resources needed ahead of a time to perform certain tests and diagnostic methods. <P>SOLUTION: A diagnostic system for a vehicle comprises a memory inputted and stored with vehicle specific information, and storing diagnostic test requirements concerning a plurality of diagnostic sequences, and a processor determining the test requirements for a selected diagnostic sequence according to the vehicle specific information prior to the execution of the diagnostic sequence. The diagnostic system thus provides a list of requirements to support a diagnostic test prior to the test to be performed and the efficiency and consistency of the diagnosis are improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
