<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device, in which the breakage of a heat pipe is prevented by preventing the excessive rise of the temperature of the heat pipe, thereby suppressing the rise of the internal pressure of the heat pipe. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device 120 includes a fixing roller 5, a pressure roller 6, an electromagnetic induction heating part 11, the heat pipe 2B, a temperature sensor 3B, and a control part 8B. The fixing roller 5 is heated by the electromagnetic induction heating part 11. The heat pipe 2B is brought into contact with the pressure roller 6. The temperature sensor 3B is brought into direct contact with the heat pipe 2B. The temperature sensor 3B measures the temperature of the heat pipe 2B. The control part 8B stops the heating of the electromagnetic induction heating part 11, when the temperature of the heat pipe 2B measured by the temperature sensor 3B becomes a preset temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
