PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve compressor efficiency by accelerating a delivery valve closing speed in a hermetic compressor. SOLUTION: A delivery valve device 16 of the hermetic compressor is provided with a delivery valve 9, a retainer 12, and a stopper 11. The delivery valve 9 is provided with a mounting base 9c, an opening/closing portion 9a opening and closing a delivery hole 7b, and an intermediate portion 9b. The retainer 12 is provided with a mounting base 12b, a valve retainer 12c on which the opening/closing portion 9a abuts, an intermediate portion 12d, and a loose end 12e extending from the valve retainer 12c to a side opposite to the base. With the valve retainer portion 12c separated from the opening/closing portion 9a, the loose end 12e abuts on the stopper 11 so that an elastic force in a delivery valve direction is generated in the valve retainer 12c.
