<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge-type vacuum cleaner with a short charge time, compactness, light weight and user-friendliness. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The charge-type vacuum cleaner is provided with a charge device including a first storage battery part 20 which can be charged/discharged and a first charge means 13 for charging the part 20 and a charge-type vacuum cleaner body 1 having a second capacitor block 5 which can be charged/discharged and a suction motor 8 acting through electric power of the block 5. The block 5 is charged by power of the part 20. For instance, forming the block 5 with a double-layer condenser which can be boosting-charged/boosting-discharged enables the block 5 to be boosting-charged by the part 20, thereby making the body 1 lightweight and compact and providing the user-friendliness by requiring not much time for a charge even in the duration of cleaning.
