The device has a transponder simulation unit (10) for generating information signals of a transponder (4), where the information signals are generated during over driving of a rail-mounted vehicle (1). The simulation unit is arranged in proximity to a transponder antenna (3). The transponder antenna receives the information signals. A computer unit (9) is connected with the simulation unit to control the simulation unit to generate the information signals and to simulate the transponder using the information signals.
