Provided is a composition comprising an iRNA agent, wherein the iRNA agent comprises a sense strand and an antisense strand, the antisense strand being less than 30 nucleotides in length and having at least 15 contiguous nucleotides complementary to a sequence from the N gene of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), wherein said sequence from the N gene of RSV includes the sequence GGCUCUUAGCAAAGUCAAG, and wherein the sense strand has at least 15 or more contiguous nucleotides complementary to said antisense strand. Further provided is use of the composition in the manufacture of a medicament for reducing the levels of RSV in patients. |
