The disclosure relates to a process for the preparation of microcapsule compositions comprising a water immiscible active ingredient (I) selected from the group consisting of fungicides, insecticides, nematicides, herbicide and/or safeners; and microcapsule wall forming monomers, wherein the microcapsule wall comprises a wall forming monomer 1 which includes polyisocyanate, a polyacid chloride, a polychloroformate or a polysulfonyl chloride; and a wall forming monomer 2 which includes a polyamine or a polyol. Also disclosed are methods for using those microcapsule compositions, compositions containing those microcapsule compositions and microcapsules prepared by said process.
