<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoacoustic device and an acoustic transmission system using the same, especially those using carbon nanotubes. <P>SOLUTION: The thermoacoustic device includes an electromagnetic signal device and a sound wave generator including a carbon nanotube structure. The electromagnetic signal device transmits an electromagnetic signal to the carbon nanotube structure. The carbon nanotube structure includes at least one carbon nanotube film. The single carbon nanotube film includes a plurality of carbon nanotubes which have lengthwise ends connected to each other with intermolecular force.
