<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with a GPS function capable of achieving omniazimuth positioning without changing a direction of an antenna in accordance with imaging posture with simple constitution. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A plane patch antenna 12 includes a ground plane and an antenna element, and area of the ground plane is made the same as or somewhat larger than that of the antenna element. The patch antenna 12 is arranged so that the plane of the patch antenna 12 may form an angle of 45 degrees or more to a horizontal surface when the imaging apparatus is held so that a photographing optical axis may be horizontal in the most basic photographing posture.
