<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem in a highly airtight house wherein proper ventilation is important from a perspective of heat insulation and indoor air environment retention, but excessive ventilation cannot be avoided during operation of a local ventilation fan such as a kitchen ventilation fan/range hood in conventional technology. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The local ventilation fan such as a ventilation fan/range hood for a kitchen has a signal converting circuit for outputting its own operation level as an electric signal such as a voltage, a frequency, or an electric pulse for the purpose of carrying out linked operation with a ventilation system of a house, and a terminal for transmitting the signal from the circuit to the outside.
