<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confirming method for opened traffic for confirming whether a paved road is properly hardened to such extent being suitable for opening the paved road for traffic after the construction or not. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this confirming method, person's weight to be added is confirmed by a weighing instrument in advance to apply weight on each of a plurality of teeth 2 evenly when a person rides on an opening confirming tool 1, and a position X where the person rides on is decided. When the person having his/her weight of, for example, 70 kg rides on it and confirms opening of traffic, the opening confirming tool 1 provided with four teeth 2 is prepared to set total area of ground contact part to 7 cm<SP>2</SP>. After the person rides on the opening confirming tool 1 on a road surface of the paved road to apply load of ground contact pressure, amount of rutting in the section where load of ground contact pressure is applied is measured by a measuring instrument such as calipers or the like after 30 seconds, and the value obtained by the measurement is compared with the reference set value (the value on the road surface of the paved road is 0). If the amount of rutting is 0, it is determined that the paved road has hardened to such hardness being suitable for opening traffic and that the paved road is sufficiently prepared for opening traffic.
