<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a faucet device which can eject water in optimum timing by determining a body to be detected and its operating state from a time-series variation of a detection signal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This faucet device comprises: a water ejection section; a valve for opening/closing a channel to the water ejection section; a sensor section which acquires information on the body detected by a reflected wave of an emitted electric wave; and a valve control section which controls the opening/closing of the valve by determining whether or not the water can be ejected from the water ejection section, on the basis of the detection signal from the sensor section. The valve control section detects the increase or decrease of an amplitude on the basis of the variation of the amplitude per unit time, determines the ejection of the water from the water ejection section when the amplitude of the detection signal increases beyond a predetermined reference value and subsequently decreases to fall short of the predetermined reference value, and performs water ejection by opening the valve.
