<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a thermoplastic resin composition which can be manufactured by a simple method and at a low cost, and in which a bamboo powder and glass fibers as fillers are homogeneously dispersed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method comprises a first bamboo powder treatment step of adding and mixing a predetermined amount of an anionic surfactant dividedly in several times to a dried bamboo powder for the anionic surfactant to adhere to the bamboo powder, a second bamboo powder treatment step of, after the first bamboo powder treatment step, allowing the bamboo powder treated in the first bamboo powder treatment step to stand for a predetermined time, adding and mixing stearic acid to the bamboo powder for the stearic acid to adhere to and be adsorbed on the bamboo powder, and a melting and kneading step of melting and kneading the bamboo powder treated in the second bamboo powder treatment step, glass fibers and a thermoplastic resin.
