PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment for enabling a user who operates the electronic equipment from the front to confirm a light emitting state without damaging design property while being thin, and a method for manufacturing the electronic equipment. SOLUTION: A power source switch unit 10 is provided with a lens member 14 and an enclosure member 11 having a light emitting part 22. Thus, the rays of light of a light emitting element 72 are emitted from a depression face 42 of a button 13, and dispersed by a lens member 14, and emitted from the light emitting part 22. The enclosure member 11 is provided with a light shielding part 21 so that it is possible for a user to confirm the light emitting state of the button 13 from the front without damaging design property. The power source switch unit 10 is provided with a lens member 14 and a support member 15 in which the lens member 14 is fit into a hole 69. Thus, the button 13 is elastically supported by the lens member 14 and the support member 15, and the rays of light are diffused, and a switch element 71 is depressed by a protrusion part 52.
