An MIMO receiver and a receiving method thereof to improve the equalization characteristics in the MIMO receiver that converts a single-carrier signal into a frequency-region signal to perform the equalization processing operation by processing the frequency-region signal. A residual interference calculation section (17) calculates any residual interference using as the inputs the noise-suppressed frequency-region channel estimation values that are output from FFT sections (12-1-1 to 12-M-N), the equalization weight calculated by a weight calculation section (13), the equalization signal subject to equalization processing by means of an equalization filter (14), and the reference signals generated by reference signal generation sections (16-1 to 16-M). Deviance correction sections (18-1 to 18-M) correct any deviance in the equalization signals using as the inputs the time-region equalization signals that are output from IDFT sections 15-1 to 15-M and the residual interference calculated by the residual interference calculation section (17).
