BACKLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND DISPLAY DEVICE CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight assembly which is electrically stable by reducing the number of signal connections in a control circuit portion to reduce load of the control circuit portion; and to provide a display device including the same.

SOLUTION: The backlight assembly includes a light-emitting unit, a control unit having a control circuit substrate, and a buffer unit having a sub-circuit substrate. The light emitting unit includes a main circuit substrate, and the backlight assembly includes at least one main circuit substrate. The control circuit substrate outputs control signals for controlling the light emitting portion. The sub-circuit substrate includes a buffer circuit connected to the control circuit substrate to receive the control signals and generating amplitude control signals in response to the control signals. The sub-circuit substrate is connected to the main circuit substrate to provide the amplitude control signals to the main circuit substrate.
