<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of a shock caused by output limit of an electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: In this hybrid automobile 20, when it is decided that a hybrid cooling system 60 fails, load factors LF1, LF2 of motors MG1, MG2 are set by use of inverter temperatures Tiv1, Tiv2 and a load factor-setting map for failure having a tendency to gradually reduce the load factor LF1 from a stage wherein the inverter temperature Tiv1 is low as compared to a load factor-setting map for normal operation (step S160), and an engine 22 and the motors MG1, MG2 are controlled such that the motors MG1, MG2 output torque based on the set load factors LF1, LF2 and that torque based on required torque Tr* is output to a ring gear shaft 32a as a driving axle (steps S170-S210). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
