<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasification process which co-produces tar-free gas, a charcoal-like solid, and a reduced product. <P>SOLUTION: The gasification process pyrolyzes organic matter into tar-containing gas, steam and a charcoal-like solid by heating the organic matter and comprises: a charcoal-like solid recovery step of recovering a charcoal-like solid generated by the pyrolysis; an oxidation and reduction step of co-producing a tar-free gas and a reduced product of the metal oxide by bringing the tar-containing gas and the steam generated by the pyrolysis into contact with the metal oxide in a specific temperature range; and a recovery step of recovering the co-produced tar-free gas and the reduced product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
