The motor has a brake lining arranged at a lining carrier (168), and an exhaust lever (53) supported at a magnetic body (154). A hand lever (51) radially projects from the motor to a shaft (66), and is rigidly connected with the exhaust lever. The hand lever presses an anchor disk on the magnet body, and an exhaust wheel (36) is rotatably connected with the shaft. An electromagnetically operable brake (550) and the exhaust wheel are surrounded by a fan shroud (35) to form a housing. The lining carrier and a brake lining are implemented as single piece and consist of only one material. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an electromagnetically operable brake.
