METHOD OF MANUFACTURING STRETCHED THERMOPLASTIC POLYESTER RESIN SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing stretched thermoplastic polyester resin sheet by which the stretched thermoplastic polyester resin sheet having a substantially uniform thickness can be manufactured by a pultrusion extension. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing stretched thermoplastic polyester resin sheet includes processes of: preheating a long-length thermoplastic amorphous polyester resin sheet at the temperature or above lower than the glass transition temperature by 20°C and at the temperature or under higher than the glass transition temperature by 10°C; then supplying the preheated resin sheet between a pair of rollers maintained at the temperature or above lower than the glass transition temperature by 20°C and at the temperature less than the glass transition temperature; and performing the pultrusion extension of the resin sheet. The method is characterized in that both end parts in the width direction of the thermoplastic polyester resin sheet are cooled at the temperature or above lower than the glass transition temperature by 30°C and at the preheating temperature or under at the entrance part of the pair of rollers.
