PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the relative position of a first tool post and a second tool post for simultaneously machining both surfaces of a workpiece from being changed during the cutting. SOLUTION: This device comprises the first tool post 13 having a first cutter 12 set directly on the tool base 11 of an NC lathe in the machining profile path of the workpiece by an NC and the second tool post 17 driven by a hydraulic pressure related to the value set to the machining thickness of the workpiece 1 by a controller 27. The device further comprises a lock mechanism 35 for locking the second tool post 17 to fix the relative position of the first tool post 13 and the second tool post 17. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
