<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for detecting leak of fuel gas from fuel gas piping such as an underground buried pipe, by using cyclohexene singly or jointly with another odorant, as a tracer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method for detecting the leak of the fuel gas from the fuel gas piping such as the underground buried pipe, the cyclohexene is used as the tracer, or the cyclohexene and the odorant consisting of a sulfur compound are used as the tracer so as to detect the gas leak.
