<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate straightness of jet in a case when a fuel of low heating quantity is used and to achieve optimum distribution of furnace temperature by adjusting the length of flame. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A high-speed jet type diffusive combustion type burner includes a primary air flow channel 14 for jetting the primary air into a furnace, a secondary air flow channel 16 for jetting the secondary air into the furnace, a fuel supply pipe 28 disposed in the primary air flow channel 14 for jetting a fuel gas into the furnace, and a flame stabilizing member 30 disposed on a tip section of the fuel supply pipe 28, and a diffusion chip 29 is disposed on the tip of the fuel supply pipe 28 for diffusing the fuel gas toward the primary air jetted into the furnace from the primary air flow channel 14.
