<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a cylinder block, in which a cylinder block with a bore having uniform spray coating is manufactured. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a cylinder block 10 includes steps of: forming a first portion 21 and a second portion 22 to a bore 24 of a block body 10a, wherein the first portion 21 has a first diameter and the second portion is concentric with the first portion 21 and has a second diameter larger than the first diameter; forming spray coating 50 onto an inner wall face 21a of the first portion 21 while the inner wall face 22a of the second portion 22 is masked; specifying a center axis of the bore 24, based on the inner wall face 22a of the second portion 22 after removing the masking; and grinding the spray coating 50 by rotating a tool around the specified center axis.
