<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an image streak, unevenness of image and variation of coloring will generate when there is a gap in the angle between the above scan direction and nozzle trains. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Out of a plurality of nozzle trains CL1, CS2, ML3, MS4, YL5, YL6, MS7, ML8, CS9 and CL10, at least one nozzle train is divided into two or more nozzle groups. Each nozzle of two or more nozzle groups adjoining each other in the same nozzle train is arranged so that mutually different positions may be scanned in the direction crossing with the arrangement direction of the nozzle when scanning the same domain on a recording medium.
