<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a pointing system, and to improve loadability of firearms. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The manual gun assist device includes a swivel support disposed swivelably to a cabin, a gun rack support rod 25 mounted on a prescribed part of the swivel support and supporting the firearms, a strain detecting section disposed on the gun rack support rod 25 for detecting the strain generated on the gun rack support rod 25, and an assist mechanism driven on the basis of a detection signal from the strain detecting section and assisting swivel of the swivel support. As the strain generated on the gun rack support rod 25 is detected, and the assist mechanism is driven on the basis of the detection signal, so that the swivel of the swivel support is assisted, an actuator for swiveling the swivel support becomes unnecessary.
