<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech display output controller which outputs data such as sound, text, and image in synchronization and which can distinctly show the timing of accent in the display of an image synchronized with speech output. <P>SOLUTION: In synchronization with the pronunciation speech output of a retrieval key word "low", identification display HL of the key word "low" and its phonetic symbol is sequentially performed in a window W1, and pronunciation mouth-shape images 12e (No36 to No9 to No8) corresponding to respective phonetic symbols are sequentially switched, combined and displayed in a window W2 on the basis of a set character image 12d (No3) for the mouth image area.
