PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent delivery system which allows avoidance of connection or semi-connection between the stent and the pusher tube. SOLUTION: A stent delivery system includes: a tubular stent 1 which is retained in a body cavity of a living body; a pusher tube 10 which pushes and moves the stent 1 towards a distal end; a filament 30 which connects the stent 1 with the pusher tube 10 by a proximal end thereof being engaged with the pusher tube 10 and by the distal end stretching to the stent 1 so as to penetrate a peripheral wall of the stent 1; and a stylet 40 which is an engaging member which is engaged with a distal end of the filament 30 penetrating the peripheral wall of the stent 1 and which keeps a connecting condition between the stent 1 and the pusher tube 10 by the filament 30, and is a pulling member which pulls a distal end side of the filament 30 into a proximal end side of the pusher tube 10 when the engagement between the engaging member and the filament 30 is released and the connection between the stent 1 and the pusher tube 10 is released.
