PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article containing an ion liquid and its method. SOLUTION: The article contains a laminate structure having one or more layers and the ion liquid in the laminate structure. The laminate structure contains at least one of a supporting layer which is combined with at least part of the ion liquid and is constructed so that the ionic current density of at least one of a proton and a hydroxyl ion may be lowered and a gel containing at least part of the ionic liquid.
