PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating the degree of oppression applied to the abdominal area of a wearer due to wearing of a disposable diaper. SOLUTION: In the method for evaluating the oppression applied to the abdominal area due to wearing of the disposable diaper, the oppression applied to the abdominal area of the wearer by the disposable diaper is evaluated on the basis of a cutaneous temperature measured over time while a baby, as an object person of wearing, wears the disposable diaper. It is preferable to evaluate the degree of the oppression on the basis of the inclination of a change in the cutaneous temperature at a primary stage of wearing the diaper or to evaluate the degree of the oppression from the difference between the cutaneous temperature measured while a reference diaper is worn and the cutaneous temperature measured while the diaper to be measured is worn.
