<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for measuring a cross-sectional shape perpendicular to an axis of a hole formed in an object to be measured. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A cross-sectional shape measuring device 10 includes a first measuring means constituted by a moving mechanism 26, a rotating mechanism 38, a distance sensor 12, and a computer 20, and measures a cross-sectional shape (first measurement shape) around a reference axis 32 at a first position X1. The cross-sectional shape measuring device 10 includes a second measuring means constituted by the moving mechanism 26, the rotating mechanism 38, the distance sensor 12, and the computer 20, and measures a cross-sectional shape (second measurement shape) around the reference axis 32 at a second position X2. The computer 20 constitutes a calculation means, and measures a cross-sectional shape perpendicular to an axis of a hole 34 formed in an object 16 to be measured based on a predetermined distance L between the first position X1 and the second position X2, the first measurement shape, and the second measurement shape.
