PURPOSE:To enhance dispersability of each component, by using specified polymeric compounds in combination as a binder in the title photosensitive composition using particles of a long chain aliphatic carboxylic acid silver salt, those of a photosensitive silver halide, etc... CONSTITUTION:The title photosensitive composition is prepared by mixing as a binder polyvinylbutyral (c) of polymerization degree about 100-3000 and butyral proportion above about 50 mole % and a polymer (d) of polyvinylacetate or vinyl acetate-vinyl alcohol copolymer containing vinyl acetate by above 70 % with a silver component consisting of long chain aliphatic carboxylic acid silver salt particles (a) having 10 or more carbon atoms and a long diameter of about 0.01-10 mu and photosensitive silver halide particles (b) having a long diameter of about 0.001-2 mu by about 0.001-0.7 mole of (b) per mole of (a) and by about 10-1000 wt. pts. of (c) and (d) per 100 wt. pts. of (a). It is preferable that (d) is a polymer represented by general formula I where m + n = 200-1500 and m/(m+n) 0.8-1 and n may be zero. |
