The switchable clamp body-freewheel has a brake arrangement (12) parallel to the freewheel arrangement (10), which is operated by the cage (16). The brake arrangement is operative between an inner ring (6) and an external ring (4). The brake arrangement is so designed, that it is in braking intervention in the rotational position of the cage corresponding to the clamping standby position. The brake arrangement further remains in the braking intervention during switching up to free running position, and comes out of the braking intervention during an overlapping rotational position of the cage.
