<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system with which a modulation system can be switched by subcarrier with respect to a propagation path with frequency selectivity and communication can be executed with the optimum throughput according to the propagation path. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission station and a reception station share the maximum number of transmission bits per symbol in each subcarrier and the information of a selectable encoding system. The modulation system is determined from the propagation path quality of each subcarrier in the transmission station. Encoding is executed with the encoding system, corresponding to the number of bits communicable with the determined modulation system, the code is divided and distributed to each subcarrier by the maximum number of transmission bits per symbol, each subcarrier modulates only the number of bits communicable with the modulation system determined previously in the distributed bits and transmits it, and the receiving station determines the modulation system used for demodulation from the propagation path quality and executes demodulation. The demodulation results are combined, by adding that the signal of likelihood 0 is received, regarding the number of insufficient bits, and decoding is attempted to the demodulated results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
