<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a material for forming an ink accepting layer which can obtain an ink accepting layer free from cracking on a surface of the ink accepting layer or peeling from a support even when drying temperature in a drying process exceeds 70°C. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a material for forming an ink accepting layer includes: a mixing and dispersing process for obtaining an aqueous dispersion (d), wherein the content of aluminum oxide particles (a) is 40-60 wt.% based on the total weight of a hydroxycarboxylic acid (b) and water (c), by mixing and dispersing the aluminum oxide particles (a) produced by a gas phase method, the hydroxycarboxylic acid (b) and the water (c); and a mixing process wherein the material for forming ink accepting layer is obtained by uniformly mixing the aqueous dispersion (d) and a polyvinylalcohol aqueous solution (e) of 5-15 wt.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
