<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve animation display performance by increasing the response speed. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a wall-like structure 8 formed on a transparent electrode 7, and a reflection electrode 9 brought into contact with the transparent electrode 7 by covering at least the wall face of the wall-like structure 8. The transparent electrode 7, surrounded in the reflection electrode 9 in planar view, defines a transparent part 7T, and the reflection electrode 9 regulates a reflection part 9R. On an end edge 8b of the wall-like structure 8 which is in contact with the wall-like structure 8 and the transparent electrode 7, at least one corner part in the planar view forms a circular arc substantially rectangle in shape.
