PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a printing system which can prevent variations in hue of a printed matter caused by blending deviation when forming a color-adjusted recording material; a printer; and a calibration method. SOLUTION: The printing system having the printer includes a printing means for printing a patch chart containing one or more patches formed of a color-adjusted recording material obtained by blending a plurality of recording materials, and an optical spectrometer, so as to measure spectral reflectance characteristics of the patches contained in the patch chart, to calculate deviation in the blending of the color-adjusted recording material based on the measured spectral reflectance characteristics and ideal spectral reflectance characteristics, and to perform image processing by correcting data for printing based on the calculated deviation in the blending.
