<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for forming an image of high quality while reducing a frequency of image stabilization processing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Image stabilization processing is omitted when all the following conditions are not satisfied: a difference between a charging voltage c1 decided in image stabilization processing before the last time and a charging voltage c2 decided in the previous image stabilization processing is a predetermined threshold value Δc or more (S307:YES); a difference of laser intensity of an exposure device between the value i1 at the time before the last time and the previous value i2 is a threshold value Δi or more (S308:YES); a difference of a developing bias of a developing device between the value b1 at the time before the last time and the previous value b2 is a threshold value Δb or more (S309:YES); and a flag for a color is reset (S310:YES).
