<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply management communication apparatus which can inexpensively manage an operation state of an electric product even if during power failure and serve to prevent a disaster. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When an RFID tag 16 is operating as a passive type tag during stop of an apparatus 1 to be controlled, an inquiry request is transmitted from a reader/writer 3 of an electric product management server 4, and even if the RFID tag 16 responds to it, the response is not received by the reader/writer 3 and the operation state of the apparatus 1 in a data table D2 in a storage device 42 is not changed. When the RFID tag 16 is operating as an active type tag during operation of the apparatus 1 to be controlled, an inquiry request is transmitted from the reader/writer 3 and when the RFID tag 16 responds to it, the response is received by the reader/writer 3 and the operation state of the apparatus 1 in the data table D2 in the storage device 42 is changed during the operation, so that the operation state is updated.
