PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide article storing equipment hardly taking labor and time for restoring work when restarting the article storing equipment, even if a stacker crane and an article storing shelf are swung by an earthquake. SOLUTION: This article storing equipment is provided with the stacker crane travelable along a traveling route set on a front surface side of the article storing shelf and a control means for controlling an operation of the stacker crane to avoid damage caused by the earthquake. The article storing equipment is provided with a predictive time acquisition means for acquiring predictive time information showing a predictive time until shakes by the earthquake are generated. The control means executes avoiding processing for an instant stop for instantly stopping the stacker crane when the predictive time shown by the predictive time information reaches a set time or shorter, while executing stop processing by a pre-processing operation to stop the stacker crane after operating the stacker crane by the pre-processing operation when the predictive time exceeds the set time.
