<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor a night time or a dark environment at the same level as that of monitoring using a visible region. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A monitor target is photographed using a photographing means which individually has sensitivity for infrared rays that have a plurality of wavelength bands different from one another, and a vector which is composed of the received light intensity of the plurality of wavelength bands is achieved for each pixel of an image of the monitor target.
