PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to prevent data signal delay due to unnecessary electrostatic capacity and increase of a leakage current in a large LCD with high resolution and high response. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines are placed on the first substrate in a matrix type. A plurality of TFT(Thin Film Transistor)s respectively correspond to a crossing point of the gate lines and the data lines. A plurality of pixel electrodes(170a,170b) are respectively connected to the TFTs. Common electrodes(180) are located in the lower surface of a color filter layer(116). The common electrodes include a plurality of first and second grooves(G1,G2) eliminating the data lines and a part corresponding to the TFTs. And the common electrodes are electrically conducted in a non-display area. |
