PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an image processing device which improves an operation utilizing a macro; an operation control method; an operation control program; and a recording medium. SOLUTION: A composite device 1 operates in an manner such that when any of various setting screens of a display 21 of an operation display 13 to change a setting value of function is opened, the setting value of function set on the setting screen is obtained, and the difference between the obtained setting value and the initial value of the function is extracted for each function in a series of function operations on an optional image processing, and when macro registration is indicated, only the difference among setting values of a series of function operation procedures and functions that belong to the series of function operation procedures is registered as a macro in a nonvolatile memory 14 which is a macro memory means. Then, when a setting screen is opened at least once, the function of the setting screen is registered as a macro even if a setting value is not changed from an initial value.
