<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color conversion method capable of ensuring color reproducibility of India ink by reflecting tone-curve adjustment in a preceding stage. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An LUT 15b that regulates the rule for color conversion from C1M1Y1K1 to C2M2Y2K2 is created as follow. In an LUT 1 created based on a profile PF1 and a profile PF2, the converted destination for k1=0 is corrected to k2=0, and when k1≠0 is converted to a value that is lower than the quantized threshold Th, the converted destination is corrected to the quantized threshold or larger. A recording agent duty limit for a predetermined printing medium is acquired, and the gradation value for C2M2Y2 is corrected so that the recording agent quantity for C2M2Y2K2 can not exceed the recording agent duty limit.
