<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device capable of raising detection accuracy of a touch operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The switch device 3 includes an upper operating button 330, and an upper touch electrode 339 is arranged on an end of an upper surface section 334 of the upper operating button 330 by sticking out from the upper surface section 334. An operator can easily perform an touch operation because the upper touch electrode 339 sticks out from the upper surface section 334, and can easily detect the touch operation because a hand and a finger can reliably touch on the upper touch electrode 339. Further, it is not necessary to arrange any electrode over the whole upper surface section 334, thereby facilitating illumination from an under part of the upper operating button 330 made by an upper LED 338.
