<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve stable operation at a low cost and to improve durability while achieving a high speed by arranging an offset adjusting ring at the end on the reverse side of an offset direction of a flexible sleeve of a pressure roller, and thereby reducing the offset of the flexible sleeve. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image heating apparatus has: a sliding heating member; a support member for supporting the sliding heating member; a film rotated along the sliding heating member; the pressure roller forming a nip with the sliding heating member through a film; and a rubber ring abutting on an film end. A recording material is passed through the nip to heat an image on the recording material. The film is configured to have a spiral groove formed on the inner surface by a spinning work method. The outer diameter of the rubber ring is larger than the outer diameter of the pressure roller, and the rubber ring is arranged at the end on the reverse side of the offset direction of the film.
